OUR MISSION

We’re the first specialty coffee micro-roasters in Cochabamba, the 3rd largest city of Bolivia -a coffee producing country. Our mission is to not only introduce the very best of Bolivian coffee to Bolivians, who most times are completely unaware about the awesomeness of this locally produced product, but also elevate the local coffee culture, create pride in their own amazing coffee and the producers behind it, and hopefully contribute to a growing local demand that will support the financial stability of Bolivian producers and the quality they’re capable of producing. All this, while building a team of outstanding bolivian coffee professionals that can count on a career path towards complete fulfillment.

WHO ARE WE?

All our Elevate Coffee Bolivia team-members are coffee professionals with very diverse backgrounds!
Besides being senior baristas, brewers, researchers, coffee profilers and roasters, we come from very different professional backgrounds (technology, gastronomy, sculptors, musicians, etc) that make us uniquely effective in a small business like ours.

Cliff - Founder/Head Roaster

Cliff is a co-founder, head roaster, and trainer. After an intense Q-Grading Course in NYC (USA), he and Veruschka moved to Bolivia to launch ElevateCoffeeBolivia in 2018. He is the creator of our entire roasting philosophy and approach in custom-profiling each of our bolivian specialty beans, using a “competition-profiling” mindset. All our other amazing team-members began their roasting journey with Cliff. Outside of work he’s also a tech-entrepreneur, futures/options/crypto trader, skater, and founder/guitarist of his band stoner rock band @RemainingDaze. Claudia - Production Roaster and Co-Head Roaster

Not only is she our head Production Roaster, but under Cliff’s wings she has flourished into a kick-ass coffee profiler and head roaster here at Elevate.
But she has many other hidden talents! Sharing content creation tasks with Veruschka, you should know that many of our illustrations, animations, photography and video productions are her creations.
But!! She is also a professional chef, problem solver and craft maker. We haven’t found a challenge that she can’t solve!

Horacio - Cupper/Brewer and Illustration Magician

Hora is our secret powerhouse when it comes to identifying the most subtle, hard to identify notes in our most complex coffees. His uber-talented palette is incredible.
When he’s not at the cupping table evaluating all our coffees, he is our main support for recipe creations. Outside of Elevate, he is one of the most talented illustrators in the country, and a kick-ass UI expert.

Veruschka - Co-Founder/CEO/Marketing/Helper

As the CEO of our company, Veruschka has 3 main focuses: Creating a vision and an executable plan for our company every year, supporting each of our team members to empower them individually and collectively, and being the “helper” in all areas of the company when needed. Marketing falls also under her wings doing both the planning and executing (illustrations, photography and video). Coming from a technology background and being an artist are some of her superpowers.
